Ebenezer Reformed Church in Oregon welcomes new pastor Kevin Kniceley

Ebenezer Reformed Church in Oregon has welcomed Pastor Kevin Kniceley and his wife, Althea, to the congregation. The Kniceleys are relocating from the Aurora area, where Althea serves as an elementary gifted education teacher and Kevin previously held the role of worship and youth director.

Kevin Kniceley brings over 15 years of ministry leadership experience, having served in various congregational contexts. He earned his master of divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, equipping him with theological training to guide his pastoral work.

The church released a statement highlighting Kevin’s passion for preaching, discipleship, and spiritual formation. It notes his experience in worship leadership, pastoral care, and youth ministry, emphasizing his commitment to shepherding individuals and families through relational ministry and teaching God’s word faithfully.

The Kniceleys’ arrival marks a new chapter for Ebenezer Reformed Church, which seeks to grow, renew, and pursue gospel-centered mission under Kevin’s leadership. The church’s Sunday school begins at 9 a.m., and worship services are held at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

The congregation meets at 2997 German Church Road, where members gather for worship and community. The church’s focus on spiritual growth and service aligns with the broader mission of Reformed churches to proclaim the gospel and care for their communities.

The transition reflects the ongoing movement of pastors and families within the Reformed tradition, as individuals seek new callings and opportunities to serve. Such transitions often involve a blend of personal and professional considerations, including the pursuit of ministry in new contexts.

The arrival of Pastor Kniceley underscores the dynamic nature of Reformed church life, where leadership changes can bring fresh perspectives and renewed energy to congregational life. The church remains committed to its core values of faithfulness, community, and mission.
