Bishop Marcelo, we are tired of the situation in Gabon. We see that the bishops and pastors whom you send here do not do what you do, what you have taught us and that you teach us every day through your word. It is that you pray for the salvation of souls, that you invest for the salvation of souls. And we see that what is happening in Brazil, this is not what is happening in Africa. In Africa, Brazilians come to consider Africa as the promised land. They come here to enrich themselves while the people are in need, in poverty. And when there are Gabonese, when there are Gabonese who start to excel in their ministry, God blesses them in their ministry, they make the church prosper, we do everything, the Brazilians do everything to get them out, to send them away, so that the Gabonese church will always remain at zero. The pastors here are the millions of Brazilians.

We are asking from today that they come here, that they leave from Gabon, all those who are here. We have Bishop Elias, we have Pastor Andre, we have Pastor Wagner, we have Pastor Leon. These four Christians with their wives are pastors of the church and those responsible for the church. The pastor of the country is a Brazilian. The leaders of the church are Brazilians. After the assistants and missionaries, they are Brazilians.

There is someone who has been appointed as the leader of the youth of the church and this person is thrown into prison. So everything that happens in the church is nobody’s responsibility. The people suffer and they are enriching themselves in the church. They arrive in Gabon, they buy cars, beautiful villas, plains, land, serfs, buildings, companies while the people are suffering. Is that what you teach? Is that what you teach?

You’re talking about love in the universal church. I’ve seen injustices, poverty in the church. You’ve found Bishop Nascimento here, you’ve found Pastor Kalabué here, you’ve found Pastor Bérald here, you’ve found other bishops and pastors here, because people who came to Gabon, loved the Gabonese people, loved the poor, sowed love among the Gabonese people, but those who are here today, after only two years, are what happens because people are disappointed, you’re tired. When you talk to them, they tell us that we don’t have the Holy Spirit. We’re not disciples, we’re missionaries.

We ask if it is possible that you will come to Gabon a little while, to Africa to see what happens there. Because what is happening in Gabon is certainly happening in Cameroon, certainly happening in Benin, is certainly happening in Togo.
