In the heart of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, a beacon of hope is nearing completion, as The Cove, a new homeless shelter, prepares to open its doors. This 44-bed facility, operated by Community CARES, will offer both men and women a place of refuge and support on South Spring Garden Street. The shelter, which represents a significant shift from previous models, will provide 24/7 access and features smaller, semi-private sleeping areas designed to offer greater privacy, stability, and dignity.
The Cove’s mission extends beyond providing shelter; it aims to offer a holistic approach to addressing homelessness. This ongoing effort underscores the importance of community involvement and support in addressing housing insecurity.
