St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Zachary, Louisiana, Holds Fall Fest With Costumes, Crafts and Bake Sale
St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Zachary, Louisiana, held its annual Fall Fest on Saturday afternoon, and families from across the Capital Region wore costumes and collected treat bags to celebrate the season, according to a WBRZ report.
The festival featured bounce houses, seasonal crafts, costume contests and line dancing lessons. Attendees bought homemade baked goods and festive refreshments from tables set up at the event.
Volunteer Beth Kimmell told WBRZ that residents look forward to the event every year, especially the bake sale. She praised the number of cooks who contributed and the performances by young children and community talent, a reminder of the value of faithful work done for others (Colossians 3:23).
A separate WBRZ report described the event as the St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church and Day School Fall Fest, held on Saturday. That report said the festival offered food, games, crafts and local entertainment, that festival-goers welcomed the fall weather, and that the event continued the community’s tradition of faith, friendship and fun.
The first report added that the current festival format, now in its third year, builds on a previous church event that ran for a decade.
