The West Association of the American Baptist Conference of Maine Thanks Dr. Susan Crane for Her Service
The West Association of the American Baptist Conference of Maine (ABCOM) gathered on October 11 at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church in Farmington, Maine, for a meeting that began at 2 p.m. Pastor David Porter of HMBC led the session, which served as a gathering for the association’s members.
Dr. Susan Crane, who previously served as pastor of Henderson Memorial Baptist Church for 17 years, has retired from her pastoral role. She continues to contribute to the denomination through her positions as registrar and financial secretary of AIM (Abcom Institute For Ministries) and the West Association Resource Ministry.
Dr. Crane is set to conclude her ministry by the end of the year and will relocate to La Crosse, Wisconsin. Her transition marks the end of a significant chapter in her service to the church and the broader Baptist community.
In recognition of her long-standing dedication, the West Association presented Dr. Crane with a cake and gifts as a token of appreciation. These gestures underscore the value placed on her contributions and the respect she has earned within the association.
The event highlighted the importance of stewardship and service within the Baptist tradition. As members of the association gathered to honor Dr. Crane, they also reflected on the role of faithful leadership in sustaining and guiding congregational and denominational efforts.
The meeting provided an opportunity for members to connect and reaffirm their commitment to shared ministry goals. Such gatherings are essential for maintaining unity and purpose within the denomination.
