Baptist Community in Schorndorf, Germany, Offers Winter Playground for Young Children

Climbing frames, colorful balls and a wooden play kitchen are part of a winter offering that lets small children keep playing indoors when the outdoor playground is too cold to use. The idea came from Adriane “Ada” Schlier, a member and volunteer of the Baptist community in Schorndorf. She had the idea 13 years ago, after visiting an indoor playground with her grandson.

“Why not also here in Schorndorf?” she thought. She judged that the Baptist community had enough space to host such a playroom.

The project began as a small undertaking. The source text breaks off at that point, so it does not describe how the offering has grown or what it costs families to attend.
