Friendship Holiness Church in Harrells, North Carolina, honors State Highway Patrol trooper Andrew Pait
On Sunday, July 31, Friendship Holiness Church honored North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Pait with a certificate of appreciation for his service in law enforcement. Members of the congregation then prepared lunch for Pait and his family.
During the service, the church observed a moment of silence for law enforcement officers who had lost their lives in the line of duty. The Rev. Jimmy Tatum, pastor of Friendship Holiness, led the congregation in prayer for God’s blessing and protection on Pait, his family and his fellow officers.
Tatum addressed the trooper directly. “We give many thanks to Trooper Pait and all law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities and cities safe,” he said.
Pait spoke briefly to the congregation. The church then presented him with a “love offering” so that he and his family could enjoy a meal at a later date, a gesture of generosity the church made in the same service (Hebrews 13:16).
