Living Hope Community Church in Wenatchee, Washington, marks 100 years as a Christian and Missionary Alliance congregation
Living Hope Community Church will celebrate 100 years in Wenatchee at 10 a.m. on Oct. 1. The church is located at 11 N. Chelan Ave., and it is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, which the report describes as a worldwide denomination.
The congregation traces its start to the Alliance Church in Wenatchee, which began in the fall of 1923 with 14 charter members. Over the decades, members have come from around the region, including Douglas County.
Local newspaper coverage has recorded the church’s history over the years. Clippings from The Wenatchee World in 1973 detail the church’s history at its 50th anniversary, looking back on the congregation’s first half century (Psalm 78:4).
