Seventh-day Adventist Church Leaders Launch OneVoice27 Initiative to Expand Global Discipleship Efforts
Abner De los Santos, president of the Inter-American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, addressed the church community on October 16, 2026, from Miami, Florida. His message emphasized the core mission of the church, rooted in the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20. He reminded congregations that the church is composed of individuals, not just buildings, and that each member is called to participate in spreading the message of Jesus Christ.
The OneVoice27 initiative was launched globally in September 2026, encouraging members to engage in various ways to share the Gospel. This initiative is described as more than a campaign; it is an invitation for individuals to use their gifts, resources, and creativity to fulfill the church’s mission. Participation can range from using social media and preaching to distributing literature or engaging in innovative projects.
De los Santos highlighted that the church’s mission is not a solitary endeavor. He emphasized that Jesus accompanies believers as they carry out their calling, citing His promise, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” This assurance is central to the church’s identity and purpose.
The message also referenced ongoing efforts within the Inter-American Division, including relief work following a recent earthquake in Panama and a nationwide digital evangelistic campaign in Venezuela. These initiatives reflect the church’s commitment to both spiritual and practical outreach.
The church continues to focus on sharing the Bible and God’s Word, as affirmed by General Conference president Erton Köhler. This emphasis underscores the Adventist Church’s dedication to its foundational teachings and mission.
