Velma R. Wilson, a member of the Grace Communion International Church of Hillsboro, passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on September 6, 1930, in Moss Hollow, Missouri, she was the daughter of William and Ida (nee Glass) Heiligtag. Her funeral arrangements were set for January 14, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 10 A.M. and a service following at 11 A.M. The interment was private.
Velma was known for her love of music and dancing, often enjoying karaoke and singing. She was an active member of the St. Louis Pooka Club and the American Czech Educational Center, reflecting her diverse interests and community involvement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wilson, whom she married on December 22, 1952, in Arkansas. They were together for 41 years. Her memory will be cherished by those who knew her.
