The Seventh-day Adventist Church has launched a new initiative aimed at engaging younger generations with the biblical book of Revelation. Known as “Revelation for Gen Z,” the project is a collaborative effort involving multiple Adventist organizations across Europe. The initiative was introduced during the 2025 Global Adventist Internet Network (GAiN) Europe convention in Pravets, Bulgaria, by David Hierzer, who coordinated the project.

Hierzer, who has spent 11 years in the corporate sector working in branding, communication, and organizational strategy for the space industry in Germany, emphasized that the project is specifically designed for young people aged from teenagers to their mid-30s. He noted that young people are constantly surrounded by digital content, spending an average of seven hours and 40 minutes daily on their phones. This presents a challenge for Adventist communicators seeking to connect with this demographic.

Hierzer posed the question of how the Adventist message can resonate in a world dominated by digital content. He acknowledged that other Christian denominations have successfully reached young audiences through influential figures with large online followings. This prompted the Adventist community to consider what kind of project could effectively communicate the Adventist message in a way that feels natural to young people.

The Revelation for Gen Z project aims to bring the Bible to life through a series of short, engaging videos. Each episode is between five to seven minutes long and features a blend of original drawings and AI animation. Hierzer highlighted that the project involves an international team of artists, developers, podcasters, and support staff working across different regions.

To complement the video content, the project includes podcast rooms in at least three locations. These podcasts provide deeper discussions on the topics covered in the episodes, allowing viewers to explore the themes further. The initiative represents a strategic effort to adapt Adventist communication to the digital landscape and engage a new generation with the Adventist message.
